Kansas City, KS — The draw is in and excitement is building for the 2025 Kansas State Cup, which kicks off this Saturday, June 7, at Compass Minerals Sporting Fields near the Legends in Kansas City, Kansas. For the first time, all participating clubs hail from the Select League, bringing top-tier local talent to the state’s premier knockout competition.

Eight clubs have entered the single-elimination tournament, with four quarterfinal matches scheduled for Saturday afternoon. At 4:00 PM, Woodland FC will face Antioch Rangers while Leawood Forest takes on Real Overland Park. Later at 6:00 PM, the spotlight turns to Crown Villa versus Olathe United and Northland FC against Liberty FC.
Winners from Saturday’s matches will advance to the semifinals, scheduled for Sunday, June 8 (time TBD). The two semifinal winners will then compete for the Kansas State Cup title on Saturday, June 14 (time TBD).
This year’s Cup also brings regional implications. Both teams reaching the final will be eligible to represent Kansas at the Region 2 Tournament of Champions in Fort Wayne, Indiana, at the end of July. Participation in the regional event is optional but presents a unique opportunity for further competition and exposure beyond the state.
As this is the first time Select League clubs are competing in the Kansas State Cup, organizers have adjusted the regular season schedule to make way for this in-season tournament. Fans are encouraged to check the Fixture page on the Select League website for real-time updates on league match rescheduling.
The atmosphere is expected to be electric as eight of the region’s most competitive sides vie for silverware—and potentially a shot at regional glory. Admission to Compass Minerals Sporting Fields is free, and supporters are encouraged to bring their energy to back their clubs in this historic tournament debut.
