Real OP Announces First Three Signings

The club announced today the signings of Mexican center-back Carlos Lopez, American center-mid Jason Duarte, and Mexican right-back Christian Alatorre to two-year contracts.

Known for his strength, aggressiveness, excellent ball control, and defensive prowess, Carlos Lopez was a priority signing for the Real OP leadership. It will be a flagship for the Real OP defensive line this coming inaugural season.

Jason Duarte was another high-priority signing for Real OP and is sure to be one of the leading center midfielders of the Select League. With incredible technical ability, a good leader, an excellent vision of the field, and a run of play, besides being both a dribbling wizard and passing specialist, Duarte will surely entertain Select League spectators in 2024.

Being the first Real OP signing from the Select World Cup and the first Select World Cup finalist signing in the Select League, Christian Alatorre played three games for the Brazil team on loan from the Mexican team. Stepping up when needed most, Alatorre provided a deadly zing to what proved to be the best defense of the tournament. Known for his precise tackling and exceptional defensive skills, Alatorre is sure to be a big bonus to the Real OP team.

"Having players with the ability to win the ball and play out of the back without worrying about them losing the ball is critical to a good defense. These three players are a great example, and I can't wait to see them play together on the field. "– Co-Owner Colin Cooper.

After a successful time on 07/22, Real OP will continue hosting public tryouts and practices every Saturday at 11 am at Wallace Park in Belton, MO. The club encourages people to come and try out and get a feel for the club experience.

Be sure to be on the lookout, as Real OP is rumored to sign one of the biggest offensive names of the Select World Cup!
